Kleemann Mobirex MR 130i crusher offers electric option

The Kleeman business unit of the Windhagen, Germany-based Wirtgen Group says its Mobirex MR 130(i) PRO impact crusher comes with what it calls an “all-electric drive concept” to offer a low-emissions option.

“The plant is used as a primary and secondary crusher and combines output, precision and sustainability,” says Wirtgen, saying the MR 130(i) can process soft to medium-hard natural stone and work in the “widest possible range of recycling applications, such as the processing of concrete, rubble and asphalt.”

The unit can reach an hourly output of up to 600 metric tons per hour, features what Wirtgen calls a “heavy rotor” and a “powerful electric 250 kilowatt-drive together with efficient prescreening.”

The all-electric drive E-Drive offers an external power supply option, says Wirtgen, so the Kleemann MR 130(i) PRO “can be operated on site free of emissions, and therefore guarantees a low power consumption per ton of final product.”

A further advantage of the electric drive, according to Wirtgen, is that hydraulic oil is only required for setting and set-up functions, which it says reduces environmental risk and maintenance costs.

“If the plant is operated via the diesel generator, the power- and load-dependent fan reduces not only the noise emission [but] also the fuel consumption,” says Wirtgen.

Wirtgen and Kleemann also cite water spraying at relevant points such as the crusher inlet, the discharge conveyors and the secondary screening unit and various belt covers as meaning “dust development can be reduced considerably.”

What the manufacturer calls a large, optional double-deck post screening unit (in the upper deck) makes it possible, with a single machine and without an additional screening plant, to produce two classified final product sizes., adds Kleemann.

“The use of [an] optional wind sifter can optimize the final product quality even further by removing contamination in the material such as the lightweight materials wood and plastic,” adds the company.
