Power House Theatre screens 'Downwind'

WALLA WALLA — A new documentary narrated by Martin Sheen that exposes the ongoing impact of radioactive fallout will be screened at Power House Theatre.

“Downwind” highlights the United States government's 928 nuclear detonations from 1951-92 at the Nevada Test Site. It features two-time Oscar winner Micheal Douglas and political satirist Lewis Black.

The viewing is Wednesday, Aug. 9, 7 p.m. at 111 N. Sixth Ave., Walla Walla. The film's director, Mark Shapiro, will be in attendance for a Q&A session along Warren Etheredge, the theater's director of film programming.
